2. JOB PURPOSE: Manager GIS will be responsible for GIS (Geographic Information System) systems design and timely deliveries to network teams for their use. To own end to end technical project management for any existing implemented GIS solution their upgrades, enhancement or managing geographic information data for maps. 3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Description Performance Indicators Planning & Organization middot Ensures the quality of GIS maps data, to include geographic information and content accuracy, completeness, at various map layers. middot Plan and manage activities associated with the maintenance of GIS system middot Provide inputs in the analysis and design of new or revised GIS applications. middot Plan and ensure that project deadlines are met, and escalating to line Managers in the appropriate time. middot Supervise GIS projects. middot Work closely with network team to enhance solution for their need/requirements. middot Implement milestones aligned with the strategic architecture aligned with other OSS systems middot Work closely with different vendors in market to enhance GIS solution. middot Coordinate with vendor for CR deliveries middot Accuracy and availability of Maps data through year. middot # of hours system was down due to deployments middot # of un-successful deliveries middot # of projects/CR delivered on time middot # of Outstanding issues middot # of optimization in design Financial Excellence: Budgets, Revenue/Profit & Costs middot Coordinate with vendor for new GIS technology proposals middot Work on reducing TCO and O&M. middot Plan in advance for any needed upgrades. middot Evaluate best technical solutions middot Total saving on TCO middot Timely planning for all needed upgrades. Customer Excellence: Internal/External Customer Engagement & Relationship Management middot Delivery of solutions that improve customer experience and enable du as fully automated order management enhancing du as a customer-centric organization middot Customer experience measured through Survey People Excellence: Learning & Growth middot Develop and agree with direct supervisor on plans to continually build own skills and knowledge by anticipating demands and understanding own strengths and weaknesses middot Ability to execute responsibilities in an effective manner Process Excellence: Operational Efficiency & Risk Management middot Processes modification and verification with network team. middot Keeping up to date with new technology in GIS, updating all latest Maps from UAE municipalities (activities) middot Ensuring accuracy of GIS data, Analyzing provided maps data cleansing and uploading to system. middot Prepare process and plans for mitigating risks for any loss or unavailability GIS maps data. middot Optimize processes middot Maps data is up-to-date middot # of issues in Maps data middot Solution should be available for end users. 4. MAIN CONTACTS: Contact Group Internal / External Purpose Frequency 1. Network team Internal Resolution of Service Alignment issues Weekly 2. Finance Internal Clearances for payouts to partners & third parties Monthly 3. Municipality External Maps data Quarterly 5. FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY: Provide recommendations for technical solutions and designs for GIS solution. 6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Minimum Experience: sect Total of 7 years work experience sect Minimum 3 years experience in GIS in a similar role in telecommunication industry sect Good understanding of technical aspects relating to the GIS technology and OSS landscape. Minimum Qualifications: BSc. In Electronics/Tele Communication or Computer Science . Knowledge & Skills: middot Advanced knowledge with existing GIS esri products is a MUST. middot Through knowledge for systems like ldquoTelcordia Network Engineerrdquo, ldquoESRI ArcGISrdquo, ldquoARCDSErdquo, ldquoARCInfordquo. middot A working knowledge of programming languages used with GIS software. middot Knowledge of cartographic mapping principles. middot Knowledge of survey principles and practice. middot Has good appreciation of further domains: fault management, service impact analysis integration with FM, Service level management and uCMDB, Enterprise integration, CRM and mediation/Billing. · A working knowledge of programming languages used with GIS software.
· Knowledge of cartographic mapping principles.
· Knowledge of survey principles and practice.
· Has good appreciation of further domains: fault management, service impact analysis integration with FM, Service level management and uCMDB, Enterprise integration, CRM and mediation/Billing.
