Key Responsibilities
• Monitor the various communication channels and search for tenders on daily basis to identify any Contracts/ Opportunities that may be of interest to the company.
• Evaluate tenders to ensure they are of strategic and/or profitability importance and provide recommendations accordingly.
• Manage the incoming (from subcontractors) and outgoing (to clients) RFQ and RFQ responses and ensure that all submittals are ready and submitted well in advance of their deadlines to the clients.
• Drafting of proposals, contracts (project, annual maintenance and service level agreements) and scopes of work to ensure the highest profitability of the projects through thorough knowledge of the market and the competitors prices and norms.
• Getting involved in the purchasing process and provide recommendations based on market and competitive pricing to ensure the lowest costs on the company.
• Drafting and reviewing subcontractor agreements and warrantee terms to ensure they protect the company’s rights and business sustainability while providing the best value for money to the client within the market.
• Manage the milestones and project performance from a contract standpoint to ensure no penalties are instated on the company.
• Act as the legal authority in the company with regards to commercial contracts and be the single point of contact as well as providing solid business advice pertaining to commercial and legal matters.
• Participate and take minutes in the lead evaluation, subcontractor selection and project steering committees as well as any others as needed.
• Maintain a record of all previous projects, market research, missed tenders, rejected tenders, lost tenders, etc. for future reference.
• Provide monthly reports to the executive management (and board of directors when needed) on current projects and tender statistics with justification for lost, missed, and non-participation.
• Support finance in creating financial reports and forecasts while ensuring that the collections are being made by finance on their due dates.
• Control contract distribution, versions and changes with appropriate documentation.
• Create necessary templates and procedures for best practice and benchmark exemplary performance in the contract, tendering, purchasing and project cost planning areas.
