Position Overview:
This position requires knowledge and experience in the design, testing, commissioning and training of multiple systems which are engaged in food and supply product movement, dirty and clean ware washing movement, and assembly and packaging of 200,000 flight catering meals per day at peak on a 24 hour per day 7 days per week basis.
The systems contain the following major equipment and systems:
Electrical Monorail system including all hangers, powered track and hanging for two different hangers for carts trolleys and pallets
Automated Material handling conveyance system from receiving of dry and refrigerated goods to further processing areas through lifts, conveyors and belts.
Automated Guided Vehicle—Electronic pallet walker
Conveyor transfer stations, automated and static
Track system data communication
Stacker Cranes
Pallet X-ray machines
Cart Management control system
Control and monitoring system, interfacing with existing 2.5-kilometer conveyor system
Push button panels, touch screen terminals, and full graphics monitoring software and systems reporting to existing control center
System integration
System simulation
Full documented two to three-month testing and commissioning period with preoperational, operational and follow on testing and adjustment fully documented
Knowledge of Oracle 11g database management software connecting two existing buildings and the phase 3 building currently under construction.
Programming language is Dot Net and JAVA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Position requires oversight of installation of all the systems software and hardware including cabling and power in conjunction with the MEP and IT support teams.
Position requires review and acceptance of the manufacturers and suppliers installation plan and testing and commissioning schedule to insure the client’s needs are met as per the tender and construction approved drawing and specification. Testing period data management and reporting is essential including design of many printed reports and on screen instruction functions and operator actuated prompts, system direction through keyed and scanned bar coded id.
Position requires oversight and management of systems integration in one consistent system with full integration into the existing program and conveyance and control systems in the existing facilities.
Position is reliant on both office and onsite work. The on-site work is currently 60% complete and the systems design is 90% completed.
Experience with Gebhardt, Sheirholz, and Unitechnik conveyance systems is useful and preferred.
