The Corporate Logistics Team plan, move and control the flow of goods from point of origin to point of consumption across all divisions, markets and brands within Alshaya. Working closely with brand teams to ensure appropriate stock and delivery to store, the team manages a range of complex and diverse activities including shipping, freight, warehouse operations, customs clearance (in-bound and out-bound), compliance and project management.
The Role:
As a Project Manager, you will lead a project team and/or nominated individuals to work closely with Senior Management, Operations Teams, HR, IT, Brands, and Franchise Partners, ensuring that project milestones are delivered on time and within budget. You will deliver an integrated business system solution and implement it in a timely and cost effective manner.
Main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Managing logistics and cross-functional projects from concept to completion in accordance with Company Policy and agreed objectives whilst identifying risks, issues and opportunities
* Employing formal project methodology with robust project governance to enable the logistics project team to expand into new markets, improve process and systems, and onboard new brands
* Preparing documentation throughout the full life-cycle of a project that enables effective management of the project, ensuring documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
* Executing project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
* Setting and managing clear expectations
* Resolving conflict in a constructive manner that leads to positive outcome and resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
* Identifying business development and value-add opportunities as they relate to a specific project
* Leading proposal efforts, including completing project scoping
* Facilitating effective meetings to support delivery of project objectives
* Delivering presentations in an engaging, informative, and well-organised manner
* Communicating with clients and stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions whilst supporting long-term business relationships
* Building the knowledge base of each customer's business model, organisation and objectives
* Seeking out opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications & Requirements:
You will have:
* A background within an international shipping, logistics or retail supply chain business (operational experience beneficial but not essential)
* Experience managing projects from inception through to implementation, including the delivery of benefits and post implementation review
* Exposure to business analysis functions such as requirements gathering, process re-engineering and solution definition
* Experience successfully implementing new processes in a controlled environment.
