• Terms for occupying the position: The same terms stated and mentioned in the decision of the Civil Service Board. • Additional terms for occupying this position or being promoted to it: 1. Serving in the previous position for three years minimum as a registrar. 2. Availability of the vacant position financially and professionally. 3. Obtaining the evaluation of excellent in the last two years evaluation as a registrar. 4. Publishing two scientific researches in one of the accredited scientific magazines. 5. Approval from the specialized technical committee. • Position- Supervisors: The consultant. • Supervision: Directly by the consultant. • Professional responsibility: The specialist is directly responsible for the work he /she performs. • Duties and responsibilities of the position: 1- He /she is second in the supervision scale. 2- He/she is authorized for taking decisions, giving orders, taking action for treatment of patients under his/her own specialty as per the authorities assigned to him/her. 3- Supervises the work of his juniors. 4- Participates in the procedures of the outpatient department. 5- Carries out the duties in the night shift within his/her specialty supervising the junior in responsibility, the registrar. 6- Performs various operations based on his./her own experience and authorities. 7- Trains his junior in responsibility. 8- Carries out scientific researches and takes part in such researches according to the specified plans. 9- Takes part in all the scientific and learning activities within his/her specialty. 10- Carries out other assigned duties from the superiors within his/her domain of specialty. 11- Participates in the work of the medical committees in the hospital.
