General Requirements
- Develop and maintain transportation system on domestic and international different transportation methods with a special focus on heavy trucks fleet.
- Manage customer service activities including order entry, customer satisfaction, interface with sales, production, labs, regulatory, and
quality ensuring that creates competitive advantage in marketplace including resolving critical customer complaints.
- Create, manage and achieve the overall logistics and customer service department budgets.
- Develop and lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.·
- Develop and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).·
- Ensure Company is in compliance with laws and regulations regarding transportation, including hazardous materials. Resolve any legal issues pertaining to transportation/distribution.·
- Ensure Logistics Department complies requirements.·
- Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures.·
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.·
- Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
- Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles.*
- Participate in personnel development at all levels through talent acquisition, performance management, providing opportunity for high performers, education, communication, expectation setting, and self actualization
- Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates·
- Thorough knowledge of different logistics platforms such as ORACLE, SAP, etc…
Make a sophisticated selection processes for one of them with solid defense of its superiority in order to adopt this platform into our
operations.·
- Develop, drive and direct implementation of all supply chain function strategies (Purchasing, logistics, Inventory, and Business Optimizations & Improvements) and responsible for the supply chain division alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Develop and sign-off supply chain strategies, policies, procedures, performance
measures and budget proposals; authorize addendums/amendments to such deliverables in alignment with the company’s corporate strategic direction and priorities.
- Setting best market practice procurement policies.
Logistics:
- Planning routes and load scheduling for multi-drop deliveries.
- Booking in deliveries and liaising with customers.
- Allocating and recording resources and movements on the transport planning system.
- Ensuring all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicating effectively with clients and responding to their requirements.
- Booking sub-contractors and ensuring they deliver within agreed terms.

- Directing all transportation activities.·*

- Negotiating and bargaining transportation prices.·
- Dealing with the effects of congestion.
