Head of Logistics - FMCG
Salary: up to AED 15,000 based on Experience
Location: Dubai
Our Client has been in operation for more than 25 years in the UAE distributing foods and general merchandise to retailers across the GCC and Middle East.
A privately owned company with an extensive range of products ensuring the
highest standards of quality and service to their clients
As an ongoing expansion and service delivery excellence, we are seeking a highly talented and experienced Logistics Manager to head up the entire operation in their warehouse.
The Key role is to manage the day to day logistics, warehousing and supply chain operation to their retail channels across the region
Responsibilities
• Plan and manage logistics, warehousing, transportation and customer services
• Direct, optimize and coordinate the full order cycle
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement im-provements
• Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
Requirements
• Bachelors degree or relevant years experience in the industry
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience managing a medium to large logistics operation preferably within the FMCG environment
• Experience with WMS is essential.
• Possess excellent management, organisational and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to create a team environment with enhanced performance capabilities.
• Possess excellent communication skills at all levels within the organisation
