Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia
Duties
Selected persons will carry out tide monitoring, identification of geomorphological units, digitization of natural features, data transfer using mobile GIS instruments and reporting spatio-temporal changes in the form of high quality digital data.
Extensive experience in coastal resource mapping, land use analysis, satellite image processing, aerial photogrammetry, and GPS surveying is required. Must have handled the latest versions of ERDAS as well as ArcGIS software independently.
Candidates must be willing to work in the intertidal zone of the Gulf coast area throughout the project period (16 months) and stay in field camps.
Three positions available.
Essential Qualifications & Background
Related degree from an accredited university. Post Graduation in Earth Sciences / Environmental Sciences.
Minimum 5 years of experience.
Fluent in Arabic and English, preferred.
Must stay in the field for the duration of the project.
Saudi Nationals or Transferable Iqamas are preferred.
GCC Driving License.
