The Role
Job Description
Loading of 2D / 3D seismic, interpretation and well data mainly to Kingdom, Petrel, Petrosys and Techlog.
Preparation and editing of geological and geophysical maps and sections.
Maintain spatial database.
Implement Document and Data Management systems for both server and PC-based data.
Database audits - as well as working with explorationists to identify data not captured in our corporate data stores.
Establish with G&G professionals & IS department best practice workflows for capturing and storing data.
Establish database audit procedures that can be executed on an ongoing basis to ensure integrity of the database.
Provide support for PC-based G&G applications. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or proficiency with Petrel, Kingdom, Petrosys, Hampson Russell, ArcMap
Requirements
Education, Experience & Skills required
5 years experience working in an integrated I.T. and Geosciences environment for service or oil Company.
Computer Science degree or diploma combined with Petroleum Geosciences background or Geosciences degree or diploma with Computer Science background.
Data loading & project data management – Loading of 2D / 3D seismic, interpretation and well data mainly to Kingdom, Petrel, Petrosys and Techlog but could include assisting explorationists in exporting /importing data to other applications as appropriate. Experience and/or proficiency with Petrel, Kingdom, Petrosys, Hampson Russell, ArcMap .
Experience of working with multi-disciplinary subsurface teams to deliver projects on schedule to tight deadlines..
Experience with server and PC-based data and document management.
Good analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
Good in English, written and oral is essential.
Adaptability/experience of working in different cultures and with people with different perspectives.
Excellent communication skills.
