Responsibilities:
As Geomatics Operations Surveyor you will:
• Conduct all work under your control in a safe and environmentally sound manner that complies with all company policies, standards, procedures and legal requirements.
• Strive to demonstrate leadership in HSE and technical excellence in all contacts with all relevant stakeholders.
• Play a leading role in strengthening Geomatics links to activities such as geophysics, engineering/design projects, and well engineering.
• Develop and maintain spatial data management systems.
• Plan and execute survey projects, including preparation of contract or tender documents, monitoring progress against plan, technical assessment of activities and deliverables; maintain effective and timely communication with contractors, customers and other stakeholders and close-out reporting.
• Plan and execute Geomatics or remote sensing projects to provide services, tools and products to customers.
• Provide expert advice to customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Actively participate in a global peer network, sharing best practices and experiences, with a view to continuously improve Geomatics operations services.
• Take on an active coaching role for young Geomaticians, transferring relevant technical knowledge and knowledge of workflows.

This position of Geomatics Operations Surveyor requires:
• Deep appreciation of spatial data integrity and data quality in EP activities.
• Deep understanding of geomatics survey measurement acquisition techniques onshore
• Adequate understanding of associated disciplines such as geodesy, remote sensing, cartography, and geography and the ability to apply relevant principles from those disciplines.
• Ability to apply relevant geodetic and quality assurance principles to survey planning, survey project execution and data processing.
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective relation with contractors and customers regarding project objectives, plans, costs and safety-critical activities.
• Experience in the use of GIS software and with positioning and GPS processing software
• Experience with hands-on field surveying activities onshore, including survey data processing software and data management aspects.
• Previou experience with contract and project management is a plus
• Demonstration of high awareness of, and commitment to, HSE and hazard management
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technical and expert advice.
• Excellent influencing skills, based on effective balancing of listening and advocacy skills.
• Strong delivery-driven business-focus;
• Active interest in developments in the survey market, both of a business and technical nature.
• Excellent teamworking and interpersonal skills, applied in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment, in which diversity is valued.
• Strong communication skills, effective in timeliness and clarity.
